Baroque computational improvisations, off-kilter frequency modulations, serene CR-78 yacht-yoga grooves, minimalist rhythmic studies of the highest pensive proto-techno order... Really, What's Her Secret?

Wilted Woman here offers the best evolution of every tape, 7" EP, 12" EP, and LP effort she has shared of her absolutely singular and maximal catalog to date. Here we see the Wilted one at her least frivolous and most direct. Having been a major bridging force between shifting generations of DIY ethos and ideologies, as well as a rallying force between American and European networks and geographies, Davis shows AGAIN that she is the understated synth-but-punk utilitarianist underdog BOSS of the PL roster. It would be a trivialization of her immensity to note that Psychic Liberation simply would not have existed in the manner it has established itself without Wilted Woman's consistent contributions since her first setting foot into the New York City PL store in 2013 to drop off her handmade cassettes. Simply, Davis is an indelible part of the ideological and formal architecture that has positioned this label project to continue it's efforts.

"What's Her Secret?" is a six song digital LP attached to a limited run of t-shirts. In the face of the widening gap between signal and signifier, medium and message, and those we have lost in the stereo wars, this chapter marker of an advancement in fashion will dissolve to dust...The files that come with the shirt will eventually be consolidated into some neurodigital vessel, indexicalized at the blink of your right eye, followed by the twitch of your nose, followed by a scratch of the groinal region, and ultimately played back at the conclusion of a sneeze. And as you adjust your cybernetic entry port at the back of your neck, you will stare vacantly out towards the horizon, squinting only able to ask yourself one thing.
